What is Sustainable Cupar's View?
Sustainable Cupar neither objects to nor supports the Cupar North Development.
Our campaign has been to ensure that, if the plan is to go ahead, then it meets the highest standards in sustainability and supports the Cupar community.
Sustainable Cupar's feedback to the current proposal can be viewed in detail by clicking the button 'Response from 2024'.
The key points of feedback are:
1) Grid street network: Proposed grid network is not the optimum layout to support active travel, biodiversity and minimise building energy use,
2) School Location: Current proposed location is poor as it it close to the relief road and resulting pollution, its close to a known flood zone. It does not support the '20 minute neighborhood'.
3) Affordable Housing: Affordable housing provision has not been updates in relation to the change in NPF4 Policy.
