Digital Fife websites consistently score highly on internationally recognised accessibility tests.
We are a team of partners from multiple community groups – Sustainable Cupar, Eden Angling Association, Fife Coast and Countryside Trust and St Andrews University, with a long term vision to restore the River Eden in Fife to mitigate against climate change effects and promote biodiversity. Extreme rainfall events have flushed soil into the river degrading the habitat and fish spawning grounds. The project will have long-term environmental, social and health benefits.
Increasing water temperatures, the degradation of water quality and the invasion of non-native species (INNS) also act as stressors which diminish the resilience of the river ecosystem to future climate change.
Resp wants to interact with local communities across the river catchment to grow our network of river champions beyond our current locality. We will remediate the river environment from past climate change and promote resilience to future change. We will work together to undertake actions to improve the river habitat and water quality and will share knowledge on climate change effects throughout the community.
