Sixty volunteers, from all walks of life in Cupar have been planting trees along the River Eden. These volunteers have been working with the FAB group to create more woodland along Riverside Walk. We have had volunteers from the Scouts, Rotary, Cupar in Bloom and FAB. The Woodland Trust have provided the native trees, which are being planted as part of Sustainable Cupar's response to the climate emergency. This project is managed by the FAB group working with guidance from Fife Council Tree Officer Robert Cunningham. Funds for tree planting have been raised by selling a calendar of the River Eden. £1700 has been raised from calendar sales. These funds will be used to buy more trees for beside the river and also to support other river projects.
